What this tool does and does not keep
This is an honest text extraction, not a layout clone: only the text is transferred. Fonts, colours, columns, tables and images are not preserved, so you get a clean editable document rather than a pixel-perfect copy. If the PDF is a scan or a photo of a page, it has no text layer at all and nothing can be extracted — run it through OCR first.
